We were recently in Athens and Corfu Greece to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary with our husband for a dream trip around the Mediterranean – and we are already missing the good food we had, even though we got back!
We ate pork gyros, pork souvlaki, and tons of creamy tzatziki and feta dip with vegetables, pita bread, and over meats – and we were in heaven!
We made this easy pork chop recipe to bring back the flavors of Greece, anytime at home.

Creamy Feta Sauce
This dip is similar to classic Greek Tzatziki (find our Tzatziki recipe here), based off our good trip to Athens this fall.
To make this creamy and chunky feta sauce, we're using the Tzatziki recipe as the base, with lots of crumbly feta and some extra garlic mixed in for TONS of good Greek inspired flavor!
This creamy feta sauce is keto, low carb, and solid with pork, chicken or beef – it's even great over grilled vegetables, or as a dip!
For the Creamy Feta Sauce Recipe, You'll Need:
- 1 cucumber seedless, shredded
- 1.5 cup yogurt Greek
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp dill finally chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tbsp vinegar red wine
- salt to taste
How To Make Creamy Feta Sauce:
Finely shred cucumber (we use a box grater).
If cucumber is watery, you can strain it in a strainer.
This step is important – you don't want overly watery cucumber, or your dip will be thin and watery!
In a large bowl, mix minced garlic, powder, chopped dill, yogurt, olive oil, vinegar and salt.
Stir in feta crumbles.
Let the flavors marinate for at least half hour.
Spoon over baked Greek pork chops and enjoy!
Herod's Library Ruins in Athens, GreeceTo Make the Greek Pork Chops You'll Need:
The best part of this greek pork chops recipe is how easily it comes together – with a few simple ingredients.
While this is optional, we prefer to marinate our pork chops the day before cooking them in a simple Greek marinade. The pork chops can be marinated up to a day before cooking, or for as little as 30 minutes beforehand.
Marinating pork chops helps lock in moisture and flavor into the pork chop so they don't dry out – but again, this is optional. These pork chops are still loaded with tons of Greek flavor, even without marinating!
For the Easy Greek Pork Chop Marinade You'll Need:
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Greek Pork Chops, You'll Need:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp celtic sea salt
1 tsp fresh cracked pepper
4 pork chops, 1/2″ thick boneless chops – NOT extra thick or thin

- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp fresh cracked pepper
- 4 pork chops, 1/2″ thick boneless chops – NOT extra thick or thin
- 1 cucumber seedless, shredded
- 1 ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp dill finally chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tbsp vinegar red wine
- salt to taste
Method
- For The Pork Chop Marinade
- Add lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, oregano, garlic powder, pork chops, salt, and pepper to a ziploc bag and marinate for at least 3 hours, and up to overnight.
- For The Pork Chops
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and place cast iron pan (or other heavy oven safe pan) in oven.
- When oven is 375 degrees and pan is scorching hot (but not smoking), carefully swirl olive oil in pan and heat until shimmery.
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Add in pork chops, without crowding the pan.
- Close oven and cook to browned on one side – about 6 minutes.
- Flip pork chops and place back in oven.
- After 6 minutes, check pork's temperature. If pork chops are thinner, they cook much faster – pork chops are done when they are 145 degrees internally.
- If pork chops are not done, keep cooking until they are (cooking time will vary widely based on the thickness of your pork chop, whether or not there is a bone, etc. – so we find it's best to go from temperature instead of time.)
- When pork is 145 degrees internally, remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
- For The Creamy Feta Sauce
- Finely shred cucumber (we use a box grater).
- If cucumber is watery, you can strain it in a strainer.
- In a large bowl, mix minced garlic, powder, chopped dill, yogurt, olive oil, vinegar and salt.
- Stir in feta crumbles.
- Let the flavors marinate for at least half hour.
- Spoon over baked pork chops and enjoy!
