How to Make Grapefruit Gin Fizz Cocktail
First, gather your ingredients for this gin fizz:
Gin – Classic and sophisticated, gin is always in style. The hints of juniper and pine are perfectly offset by the tart citrus in this drink. For this cocktail we recommend a gin with more floral notes and less anise.
Grapefruit Mixer or Grapefruit Juice – For this recipe we used the Betty Buzz (LINK) Grapefruit Mixer. It's tart and sweet without being overpowering. You can also use fresh Grapefruit Juice and syrup.
Simple Syrup – Simple syrup is easy to make, mix equal parts sugar and water and heat in a medium saucepan until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool.
Ice – The world's top mixologists all say that the secret to a good cocktail is in the ice. Good ice is a function of good water and the size and structure of the ice. There are many different ice trays (LINKS TO AMAZON) that you can test out to see what you prefer.
Use this Method:
In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, grapefruit soda, and grapefruit juice over a few cubes of ice.
Shake vigorously.
Pour over a glass of ice.
Garnish with a sprig of mint or rosemary if desired.
Sip and relax.
