Kitchen notes

Measure flour by scooping lightly with your measuring cup and using a butter knife or other straight edge to scrape across the top.

When mixing the dry and wet ingredients, make sure not to overmix. Overmixing can make your bread tough and chewy.

Mixing to “combined” also helps the wet ingredients retain air to keep your bread nice and fluffy.

This bread can stay up to three days in a sealed container at room temperature.

Always preheat the oven to 350 degrees before starting this bread – since there's no rise time this is a quick bread and will pop straight in the oven.
